The quality of roads on Dehradun Yamunotri is also not very good. There is hardly any traffic to Yamunotri, but till Mussorie you may find travvic to be a little heavy. And dont forget to tank up in Barkot as that is the last Petrol Pump till Yamunotri. From Barkot till Hanuman Chatti there are decent roads. But the real test of your driving skills begin after that. From Hanuman Chatti till Janki Chatti(the last motorable destination on the route) the road is very steep and patched with big boulders.
